Keep art simple. All you need is 3 colours. With red, blue and yellow you can mix any colour under the sun. Just think how your printer can reproduce a colour photograph with only 3 cartidges - red, yellow and blue.
These three colours mixed together make black. If not mixed in the right proportions they make a brown colour or umber. Incidently, umber was also used as the base colour of many on the grand masters underpaintings to determine the colour values (light, mid and dark areas) of an initial drawing. Umber and mid grey are made of all colours and relate to all colours.
At Artspshere we will show you how to mix colours with confidence and flair.
Simply you will save time, frustration, and a lot of money buying different tubes of paint and just enjoy doing art.
Happy painting! Kate Brown
